Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Houston, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Went there with my Son's and everything cooked on the kitchen, hibachi is too slow when you're hungry. We ordered the combo with bagolgi, spicy pork, kalbi and chicken. Everything was awesome. Bon chon and rice were wonderful. Great food, great price, great service. We go as often as possible. Never a bad experience. Don't hesitate. I'm ready to go again.

Tried BBQ Garden for the first time recently and overall I really enjoyed the experience π₯π₯© If youβre used to the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spots like I am, just know this restaurant is different. You order individual items or combos rather than unlimited servings. Since it was our first visit and we like trying a variety of options, we decided on the BBQ Garden Combo. The combo included beef brisket, pork brisket (which was new to me because I didnβt even know pork brisket was a thing π), boneless galbi, beef bulgogi, pork belly, and gochujang chicken. We substituted the gochujang shrimp for a second order of boneless galbi. It also came with rice, lettuce, and several traditional Korean BBQ sides including kimchi, fish cakes, and more π₯¬π For the appetizer, we chose the Jap Chae and it was EXCELLENT π Fresh, flavorful, and packed with vegetables. Definitely one of my favorite things we ordered. We also added the Honey Garlic wings. One thing that makes this restaurant unique is that the BBQ is cooked over fresh charcoal instead of the standard gas grills you usually see at all-you-can-eat spots π₯ That definitely adds to the experience and flavor. I also really liked that you

This is the first time I have ordered from this place and I have to day, I door dashed my order and even received a little treat, they had added a little box with 4 taste testers of they their appetizers which was delicious and I don't know if they did it on purpose but I ordered the Jap Chea with veggies only because I simply didn't want to pay the up grade for beef since I also ordered beef bulgogi and it had beef in it all the meat was nice and smokey and it was all delicious and big portions. I definitely want to go in and experience the grilling at the table....10 out of 10

If youβre looking for one of the best Korean barbecue spots in Houston, this is it. The meat quality is top-tierβtender, flavorful, and always fresh. The sides are just as impressive: delicious kimchi, savory pancakes, crispy wings, and cheesy corn thatβs a must-try. I also love the privacy of the individual rooms, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, every server weβve had has been attentive and friendly. Hands down, this is one of my favorite places in the city, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Came in on a Friday night solo and the restaurant had a nice crowd. I was seated in one of those private rooms and was intending to order Korean bbq, however was told that my food was going to be grilled in the back by the staff. That was disappointing, as I enjoy the experience of cooking it on my own while it stays hot and fresh. It seems that unless you are dining with company, you will not be able to experience the KBBQ experience which is sad. I ordered the Galbi rib fingers. They were good, but quickly got cold as I was not able to cook them myself as I ate. Additionally, they charge you $2 for lettuce wraps if you donβt order KBBQ for more than one person which is crazy, as the dish I ordered was $33. I also got the spicy cold noodle naengmeyon. Very tasty and refreshing. The tteokboki was good, however the rice cakes are actually the wheat kind and NOT rice which was a surprise. I had to remind the waitress for my complementary side of white rice as well. Overall, the food is good and this could be a solid place for kbbq if they just treated solo diners as well as groups of 2+ and didnβt charge for lettuce for wraps if it comes included for kbbq for 2+.
